Our Streets Speak is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to providing essential support and resources to individuals and families experiencing poverty in the Greater Vancouver area. Our mission is to foster a compassionate community where every person has access to the necessities they need to survive and thrive, regardless of their circumstances. We achieve our mission by: - Distributing survival kits filled with essential items sourced through our Amazon Charity Registry and funded by donations from our GoFundMe and PayPal Fundraiser campaigns. - Collaborating with local partners and volunteers to identify those in need and efficiently deliver vital resources. - Raising awareness about the challenges faced by individuals experiencing poverty and advocating for long-term solutions to address these issues. Our Streets Speak is grounded in the belief that every person deserves dignity, respect, and access to basic human needs. By working together with our community, we can proudly say 100% of donations go to the cause. I pay myself no salary and if I choose to run advertisements that will come from my own pocket. As a person with lived experience, I encourage others in sobriety to volunteer alongside us. Help to recover loudly so others do not have to die quietly. We strive to create lasting change and ensure that no one is left behind.
